
Simoné Pretorius
Simoné Nortmann (born May 18, 1990), is a classically trained South African award winning actress. Her highest-profile role to date was as Irma Humpel in the 2016 Afrikaans biographical film "Vir die Voëls" for which she received both national and international acclaim.
Nortmann made her acting debut in the South African soap, "7de Laan" (2013), for which she was awarded Best Newcomer at the Royalty Soapie Awards (2014). She went on to star in box office hits "Vuil Wasgoed" (2017), "Stroomop" (2018), and award winning indie film, "Wonderlus" (2018). She is also well known for her role as Jony in critically acclaimed TV Comedy "Hotel" (2016-) for which she was nominated for a South African Film and Television Award in 2018. Nortmann also portrays Sr. René Spies in South African acclaimed soap, Binnelanders (2019-).
Nortmann is also the founder and managing director of Art of Acting South Africa.
