Vishnuvardhan was born on December 6, 1976 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is a writer and director, known for Shershaah (2021), Arrambam (2013) and Yatchan (2015). He is married to Anu Vardhan.
Shershaah is the story of PVC awardee Indian soldier Capt. Vikram Batra, whose bravery and unflinching courage in chasing the Pakistani soldiers out of Indian territory contributed immensely in India finally winning the Kargil War in 1999.
